Dr. Vijaya Radhakrishna M.D., F.A.A.P

Dr. Radhakrishna started this practice in 1980 after completing 2 years Residency in Pediatrics at UMDNJ and 1 year of Special Training in Pediatric ICU and Infectious Diseases in Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Her academic career has been remarkable with gold medals, distinctions and the highest rank from a prestigious medical school in South India. She also obtained her postgraduate degree in Pediatrics from India after 3 years of rigorous training in various aspects of child health and sickness. She has totally dedicated herself to her pediatric practice, touching thousands of lives in her career of four distinguished decades. She also serves as Professor of Pediatrics at RWJH Medical School, actively teaching MA, PA, NP, Pre-Med and Medical Students, as well as Pediatric residents from several residency programs.


She has also shown her leadership qualities by very efficiently running two modern pediatric offices, serving as a department chairman for Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center and JFK Medical Center, as well as serving on numerous hospital committees, including NJ Chapter of AAP. She has presented several interesting clinical cases for various teaching rounds. For her, LIFE is all about children’s wellbeing from Newborns to 21 Years of Age. She is also very passionate about tennis, Western Ballroom Dance, Piano and Kamatak Music. Her special interests include taking care of Premature Babies, Patients with ADHD, Obesity and Asthma. She had been well versed in several Indian languages, & of late Spanish. She is portrayed as a life-long learner in Robert Wood Johnson Hospital’s Yearly Magazine and NJ Top Pediatrician. She has several teaching awards from both New Brunswick University Hospitals, Drexel, Monmouth & Pace Universities. She has two accomplished children. Her son, Suhas Radhakrishna is a graduate of Harvard Medical School, and currently a practicing pediatric rheumatologist in San Diego, California. Her daughter, Sripriya Prince, is a graduate of Columbia University and is a doctor of physical therapy in Denver. Dr. Radhakrishna is also enjoying being a grandmother of four beautiful children, who add fun to her passion for pediatrics.
